Here is a list of classes we offer that can be scheduled for a group or as private lessons.

Extracting silk from silkworm cocoons:





Learn the life cycle of the silkworm.


Learn about different worms and silk.

Extract silk from cocoons. Hands on.

Dye a silk scarf

This is a 1 ½ hour class(can go over) for 5-7 people $13.00 per person








Introduction to fiber:


History of Fiber


Processing fiber: dirty wool, cleaning wool, carding wool. This is hands on activity.


Discussion, demonstration, and participation in drop spindle, spinning on wheel, weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Hands on.

This is 2 hours $18.00 per person











Introduction to felting fiber:


Learn how to wet felt wool into sturdy fabric and beads.


This is 1 hour class $13.00 per person











Introduction to needle felting (7 year old and up)


Design and creating a small bag “painting” fibers of wool on wool with needles.


1 hours class $13.00 per person







Beginning Knitting:

Learn how to cast on, knit, and cast off


This is a bit difficult for six year olds but we are willing to try especially if kids are willing!! This will include bamboo needles and yarn and instruction. This can be ongoing weekly and we can do lots of cute easy projects. For little to no money after initial instruction of $15.00 per person







Beginning Weaving and dying:


Dye yarn with koolaid

Learn to weave a simple bookmark or small bag.
This can be ongoing with many different ways and things to weave.


This is 2 hours and $13.00 per person
