***These fiber classes are designed for children 7 years old and up. Adults (kids at heart) welcome and encouraged to come and join the fiber fun. All fiber classes are $12.00. Sign up for all three fiber classes and take $5.00 off.

Bread baking class is $15.00. Remember participants will take home bread, cookies, fresh ground flour, and recipes.

Needle Felted cell phone case

Jan. 8th and 9th from 1:30pm-3:30pm
(One day class offered on 2 different days)

Learn how to make a needle felted cell phone case with special felting needles and some wool. Each student will make their own design to felt onto the cell phone case. Needle felting a cell phone case is just the beginning… use the same techniques learned to needle felt on dozens of other items! We will show you how to determine if the item you would like to decorate with needle felting can or cannot be needle felted.

Jan. 16th Bread baking class

Bread baking: Start with fresh wheat berries (grain), grind, knead and bake bread.
Even expensive, whole wheat, store bought bread is deplete of nutrients that our bodies need. Dispel the myth that bread is bad for you. Learn the history of grinding grain and the nutrition gained from “good carbs”. Not only nutritious but also delicious. Each participant will grind grain by manual and electric grinders and be introduced to different ways to knead bread. Each participant will take home a loaf of whole grain bread, chocolate chips cookies, and fresh ground grain with recipes. Our family has been grinding and baking bread for over 10 years and has much experience and many recipes for cookies, crackers, pancakes, etc. to share. Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

 Mommy and Baby Penguin 3D Needle Felting class

Jan. 22nd and 23rd from 1:30pm-3:30pm
 (One day class offered on 2 different days)


Make a mommy (or daddy) and baby penguin with corriedale wool fibers. This class is an introduction to sculpting in 3-D with wool using special felting needles that interlock the wool fibers creating wonderful, playful pets. This is a more indepth class than the 2-D cell phone class. This class will spark your creativity to create a variety of birds, animals, and flowers. You will only be limited by your imagination!

 Wet Felted Necklace

Jan 29th and 30th from 1:30pm-3:30pm
  (One day class offered on 2 different days)
Learn how hot water and some soap can turn bits of fiber into a beautiful and fun piece of jewelry! Students will learn how to make wet felted beads and then string them up into a unique one of a kind necklace, bracelet, or pin. We will be combining wet felting and needle felting for lots of squishy, wet fun.











DYE, SPIN, WEAVE
We will be having a dye, spin, weave class February 5th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm and February 6th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Participants will dye yarn and fiber, spin on the spinning wheel, and weave on a rigid heddle loom. Each participant will take home a completed projected, and materials. Cost is $100.00 per student which includes all materials. Class size limited due to availability of wheels and looms. Pre-registration required with deposit of $35.00.
